Next week I’m flying out to Portland for a day of rehearsals, and a series of shows with the Portland Cello Project.Â I met four of the PCP while on tour this fall, and I’m so happy to see them again. This time I’ll be playing music WITH them, and not before them. Yes.

Rain in to the Sea Digital Release. March 2nd!

That’s right, folks. Our most recent project, Rain in to the Sea, will be available via most major digital distributors (iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, etc..) on March 2nd. This is the best thing we’ve made thus far. The album features 10 new songs, which we recorded at Great North Sound Society in Maine with producer Sam Kassirer (Josh Ritter, Langhorne Slim, Erin Mckeown).

Please join us this Saturday, September 26th at Gallery 5 for the official release of our new album, “Rain In To The Sea”. Almost a year after recording, we’re excited to finally release this material, recorded in Maine with producer Sam Kassirer.

There will be a short screening of Michael Hagan’s documentary, “Loosen My Tie“, as well as special guest performances by The Diamond Center and Dean Lee. Bring $6 and your party pants.

Loosen My Tie to premier at The Byrd Theatre

Loosen My Tie, a documentary following us on tour and in studio through several years, is set to premier at The Byrd Theatre on Sunday, August 30th at 2pm.

Filmmaker’s Description:

Loosen My Tie takes a look at the Richmond, VA based group, David Shultz and The Skyline. Watch and learn about a band who is trying to make music their lives. Filmmaker, Michael Hagan, follows the band on tour and in the studio as they record their second release, Sinner’s Gold, and hope to gain more recognition.

Hey it’s Matt, on behalf of everyone. I just want you to know that we’ve been very very busy, working like elves preparing for the release of our new record in October. We also have some very big tour dates (supporting our friends Thao w/ The Get Down Stay Down) coming in October. Those dates will be added as soon as they are final!
